Way to go team!!

Short blog about a recent accomplishment one of our client teams just had. As you may know, we recently became the management firm for the International Fruit Tree Association. One of their main projects is publishing the Compact Fruit Tree magazine 3 times per year, in April, August and December.

Now, we like to tell clients and associates of DrakeCo that our staff has a wide array of specialized skills and experiences. I think this really showed when the IFTA client team, led by Nancy Soucek on this project, got the December issue (our first for them) compiled, typeset, printed and mailed to members. This is no ho-hum accomplishment.

Nancy is the managing editor of the magazine on the IFTA client team. The magazine is a very technical journal written by and for tree fruit producers and researchers. It is an odd size (to us) and was already 3 months behind schedule when we took over management of IFTA. Nancy jumped in, organized the project, rallied the client team and appropriate members of IFTA and got the issue out the door in early January.

I don't think it's braggadocios to say that not just any management firm could have pulled off such a task in that time frame with that high quality.
